Erik Anderson joined Gator Capital Management in 2012 and serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He leads the firm's financial, operational, and compliance functions across its long/short hedge funds, registered mutual fund, and separately managed accounts. Since joining Gator in 2012, Erik has built and scaled the firm's institutional-quality infrastructure, including NAV and financial reporting, audit and tax oversight, trading and custodial architecture, SEC compliance, and counterparty relationships. That foundation has supported the firm as it has grown its asset base and expanded across hedge fund, mutual fund, and managed-account structures. Erik also has day-to-day responsibility for many of the firm's mutual fund operations, working closely with the fund's administrator, board, and service providers.
Prior to joining Gator, Erik served as COO for AmbiView Advisors, where he managed all non-investment functions. From 2016 to 2020, he was CFO at Oakpoint Advisors, a multi-manager services platform where Gator Capital was a key partner. During this period he continued supporting Gator while also overseeing back-office operations for several other managers, including Vinik Asset Management's 2019 relaunch. Earlier in his career, Erik served as CFO for Praesidis Advisors, was a founding employee and CFO of Jove Partners, and began his investment management career at Imperium Capital Management, where he helped grow a $550M global energy hedge fund and led its SEC registration process.
Erik holds a BS in Finance from Florida State University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
